Foreword by Jenny McCarthy, New York Times Bestselling Author
"Autism: From Symptoms to Solutions gives parents a track to run on. That is something I could have used as I embarked on my journey with autism. The book is written in language the average parent can understand. It explains the symptoms of autism and why they exist. Then, it provides an assessment questionnaire of the symptoms followed by detailed instructions for a plan to initiate based upon the scoring of the questionnaire. This book would have been a big help to me and would have provided me with even more motivation for helping my son if it were available when Evan was diagnosed.
No parent plans to walk the path that autism presents. I did not ask for it. I knew nothing about autism. It was thrust upon me as it had been for others. But it was the hand that I was dealt. I explored every option that I believed would help my son, and because of that, I won. And Evan won. I have since had the privilege of helping thousands of other families through my books, television appearances, and my non-profit autism organization, Generation Rescue (www.GenerationRescue.org).
This book is an excellent resource, and I would recommend it to both parents and doctors who are working with autistic children."

The Premise of Autism: From Symptoms to Solutions - A Parent's Track to Run On
The premise of this book recognizes that there are a number of common medical conditions underlying the clinical presentation labeled as autism. When these conditions, such as hidden food allergies, are identified and corrected, the autism symptoms improve. A unique, layman-friendly, Autism Symptoms Assessment Questionnaire is utilized to assess the most common of those conditions. As a guide to parental intervention, it typifies the thought processes a biomedical physician might go through in evaluating an autistic child. Based upon the scoring outcome of the questionnaire, step-by-step biomedical interventions, such as diet and nutritional supplements, are explained in detail.
